Woman Poisons Husband For Starving Her of Sex

A sex starved housewife identified as Maureen (surname withheld), a native of Benin City, Edo State, who resides in Asaba, Delta State, has allegedly poisoned her husband with "Chemical poison", leaving him admitted into the hospital.

It was learnt that the suspect had complained bitterly to her relations of the husband’s "lack of sexual attention" to her, and threatened to make life unbearable for him, but was advised to "drop" such sinister plans.

Sources said the husband allegedly swim in litany of sex scandals especially with married women and in most cases, his victims attack the wife to call the husband to order.

As it were, the incident took place on Sunday night when the victim who lives around Otuogu, Asaba, reportedly returned home late and was perceived to have been drunk by the wife who had allegedly prepared his meal with the Chemical substance that was given to him.

Trouble started when after he ate the meal, he started vomiting; in the process, neighbours heard his screaming, dashed to the scene and rushed him to a nearby hospital where the doctors diagnosed him of food poisoning after a long battle.

A senior police office who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said upon interrogation, the suspect confessed to the crime saying she committed the act to teach him a lesson.

My Marriage is Intact, I’m Going to Court – Funke Akindele Reacts

 

Nollywood actress Funke Akindele has cleared the air on her alleged failed marriage saga with threats of taking media houses to court…

The news of her troubled marriage was first reported by The Nation, so Funke Akindele has forwarded an sms message to the media house. The message reads:
"I read in the newspaper yesterday that I am divorced. What proof do you have? And I am taking this to court because my marriage is intact. You guys are rumour mongers. Funke Akindele Oloyede."

It was reported on Tuesday that the actress may have been separated from her husband, Kehinde Oloyede, son of former Iyaloja of Oshodi market.

This is after Kehinde Oloyede himself announced a "separation" via his facebook page on Monday, which read:

"It is with heavy heart that I am announcing the separation of me and my wife, Mrs Olufunke Akindele. We have both agreed to go our separate ways because of irreconcilable differences. We are still best of friends and we would forever remain good friends."

The statement, which the actress’ husband has since deleted from his facebook wall, generated concerns among the star’s fans, who made the issue a major topic on social media.

Attempts to reach Funke on Monday failed. Her elder sister, who doubles as her spokesperson, Mrs Ayo-Ola Muhammed, also failed to make an official statement she promised when contacted because, according to reports, the actress asked that no statement be made on the issue.

According to reports, Funke Akindele’s husband may have deleted the "separation" post on his facebook page, due to pressure from friends and family members. The actress is said to have been crying since the incident, fearing criticisms by her fans and her clients’ reactions.

Funke Akindele, actor, producer and ambassador of several brands, including telecommunications giant, Globacom, got married to Oloyede 14 months ago in a grand ceremony held in Lagos.

Funke’s decision to marry the real estate business man, was severely criticised by many who wondered why she should get involved with a man that is already married, with children and "different women".
