#BIG BROTHER AFRICA #THE CHASE: ANGELO AND BEVERLY DIDN'T HAVE SEX!!!

 

South Africa's Angelo and Nigeria’s Beverly Osu have been the topic of discourse for the past few weeks. This came as a result of their constant kissing/smooching sessions ... they kinda can't keep their hands off each other! 

Last two weeks, they were rumoured to have done it in the bath tub, and also under the duvet.

Well well well... I'm one of the those who don't believe anything went down, especially in the bathtub scene. 

Just like the truth about Nando/Selly's romp came out, later in the game, some truths are filtering out now about the Beverly/Angelo's supposed 'doing it' saga.

Angelo innocently asked Bev what she thought about their 'no sex' relationship, and she replied him saying it was good, because it's rare.

In his exact words, "What do you think of me not tryna have sex with you,"
Her reply: "It’s good, it’s a nice thing because it’s rare"

                        not possible to 'get down' without visible changes between the couple... like how they 

                        react to little things/housemates, etc

                        For example, Betty & Bolt had insecurity issues... One always doubted the other's 

                        motives as regards other housemates and always fought and made up. Now in case 

                        you don't know, that came as a result of their intimacy. If they weren't intimate, there'd 

                       be little or nothing to fight over...#

Trust me I don't know these people from Adam and don't want anyone to think I'm bias for personal reasons.

South African Women Married to Nigerians threaten Protest

South African women married to Nigerians, yesterday, threatened to stage mass protest in Johannesburg to stop discrimination against them, their husbands and children.

Mrs Lindelwa Uche, the chairperson of the United Nigerian Wives in South Africa, UNWISA, made this known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria during the launch of the association, Sunday, in Johannesburg.

Uche said that South African society did not take their marriage to Nigerians as serious relationships.

She said: "Our society does not take our marriages serious, they see our marriages as relations of convenience and perceive us as evil to the society.

"All of us are South Africans married to Nigerians living in South Africa, we decided to come together to fight against stigmatisation, discrimination, and humiliation, against our families by government departments and agency and the officials of the government, the community and our-in-laws."

The chairperson said an earlier protest march by the members of the association had not generated any response from the Home affairs office.

"We protested against discrimination from home affairs officials in March this year, and since after that protest we have not received any response from the government. We felt before we embark on any further action we should come together and form an association registered by law.

"After the official launch of our association, our next action will be more than just a protest march to the city of Johannesburg home affairs office. It is going to be a protest where we will strip on the street of Johannesburg, so that people and government will know that there is an existing body and that we are not happy with the way our non South Africans husband and children are being treated.

"We also plan to carry our protest to Nigeria, we know that some South Africans also have businesses in Nigeria, if it is necessary we will take actions that will stop South Africa businesses operating in Nigeria. Indeed we are ready to go that far.

"We have been quiet for so long but we cannot can’t take it anymore, for the sake of the future of our children, we have to put an end to this discrimination."

She said there was need for them to collectively tackle the issue of some Nigerians residing in South Africa being unfairly separated from their families due to pending residence permit that eventually lead to deportations.

"If we don’t stand up as daughters of the soil and fight discrimination against our marriages who will? If we don’t stand up and fight for the rights of our husbands when they are being violated and treated shabbily by officials of the government and citizens alike who will?.

"If we don’t stand up for our children when they are being called derogatory names like "Small lee kwere-kwere" or turning their native names upside down deliberately by our community in the name of making them feel like aliens, outcast, and unwelcome, or even when their Nigerian aunties and uncles call them bastards, then their future is in jeopardy.

"If we don’t stand up when our countrymen and women, officials and in-law address us as paper wives, gold diggers, stupid and opportunist, who will do that for us?" Uche queried.

She said the notion that all Nigerians are criminals must be corrected.

"We are in a country of law and order, if anyone is found guilty let the law take its course, we are not saying Nigerians are good or bad, even in the South African society, there are criminals and indeed there is no country in the world that does not have criminals," Uche said.

Ikechkwu Anyene, President of the Nigeria Union in South Africa (NUSA), said the association is a good initiative by the women who are suffering discrimination and humiliation because they are married to Nigerians.

"We at the NUSA have been working with them even before the association was registered as a body, we were with them when they carried a protest match to the home affairs office in Johannesburg,

"we will continue to support them to achieve their goal which is to put an end to discrimination by the government officials and their brothers and sisters towards them for being married to Nigerians.

"The initiative is also to unite Nigeria and South Africa and indeed the whole of  Africa, to see each other as brothers and sisters and to ensure that we stand by one another," Anyene said.

He, however, advised the body to carry along all South Africans married to Nigerians irrespective of their tribe and geo-political zone and the tribe of their husbands.

The nominations list for the third annual Nollywood & African Film Critics’ Awards (NAFCA) has been released. The NAFCA awards recognises excellence of professionals in the African film industry.

Scheduled to take place at the Warner Theatre, Washington DC, USA on Saturday 14th September 2013, the awards ceremony will see some of the biggest names in the African film industry in attendance.

Big Brother Africa Ex-Housemate 'Betty' to be Sued for Having Sex in the House

 

If you've been following Big Brother Africa #The Chase closely, then you'll remember that I wrote about Betty and Bolt having sex in Big Brother's house. 

Unfortunately, her very recent past is already coming back to haunt the pretty Ethiopian, barely a fortnight after she was evicted!

An Ethiopian website, Awramba Times, is reporting that a group of lawyers in Addis Ababa has finalized its plans to sue Big Brother Africa’s 2013 contestant, Betty Abera for "having sex in public." According to a local radio show, Ethiopikalink, if convicted, the young teacher could potentially face up to six years behind bars.

Betty and the recently evicted Sierra Leon Bolt became the first couple to have sex in this year's Big Brother Africa, game. 

Social media such as Facebook pages, including radio hosts in Ethiopia have been tirelessly condemning Betty’s very-open "hook up" on live television.

There's been lots of condemnation especially from Ethiopians on social media, on this act while it's really shocking to some other Africans to hear that having sex in public is considered a 'crime' in some parts of the continent.

Questions Arising:

1. If Bolt was evicted before Betty and Betty finally won the $300,000 at the end of the show, would they be suing her? Would the issue of having sex in public even come up?
2. Also, having sex in front of cameras, is it same as having sex in public? 
3. Why is there no emphasis on Bolt? Okay I guess it is not a crime in Sierra Leone, or it's just a man's world, so men can have sex on live tv and get away with it, but women can't.
4. Where is Bolt right now? Has he sought Betty out? Will their love still continue?
5. I'd really like to know what Betty felt and how she looked when she saw her 'sex-video' with Bolt in the Big Brother House.

I hope Selly wouldn't have to face this also when evicted!

Big Brother Africa Update: Angola Knocked Out of #TheChase

A big blow was dealt to Angola last night as both of the Housemates in #TheChase from Angola were sent marching home.

Shy Diamond dudes Biguesas and Neyll became the third pair to be Evicted from Big Brother #TheChase game, 2013. 

They made history as the pair from the same country to be evicted in one show.

 

First to receive the news of his fate in the House was Biguesas who took it calmly, smiled and had nothing but love for his fellow Housemates as he made his grand exit from the Diamond House.
Only a few minutes after learning that he had been put up for possible Eviction by HoH Selly in order to save Oneal; Neyll then got word from Live Show presenter IK that his journey on #TheChase had come to an end. The news of Neyll’s exit was met with shock from the fellow Housemates and the tears flowed in both Houses. 

Clearly the quiet gentleman had a lasting impression on his fellow Housemates in both Houses.

Selly, who was the Head of House for 2 consecutive weeks (2nd and 3rd weeks), has successfully ensured the eviction of 2 housemates whom she swapped for possible eviction. 

It's appalling but at the same time, good for her, because when you put up someone for eviction as Head of House and the person ends up being saved by Africa, there's usually bad blood in the House...

I guess Selly is a force to reckon with and also a foe to beware of, as getting in her bad books might just get you out of the show for good.

Today, there will be nominations and before the end of the day, I will bring you contestants who are up for possible eviction, this Sunday. 

I hope Pokello doesn't come up again this week for eviction, because she'll definitely go.
