Peter
Odemwingie
has launched an astonishing Twitter rant at his club. West Brom’s striker sent
a series of tweets over a five-hour period criticising their decision to bench
him.
The wantaway ace has not started for
the Baggies since his infamous deadline-day drive to Loftus Road.
And
The Nigeria star later added:
“If they
like they shouldn’t even give me 10 mins to play. Threatening to ruin my
career? Career I closed already last summer? No harm to me.
“Want to
treat me like an average player. The abuse and praise I get is it average? So
get some extra from me too.”
Despite reporting to training the
day after his trip to London the striker was told to report the following week.
A fine of two weeks’ wages followed
but boss Steve Clarke said in February that he still had a part to play at the
club.
Odemwingie — used as a second-half
sub on four occasions since the incident — has one year remaining on his
contract.
