EX-BEAUTY QUEEN 'Rosemary Okeke' Ejected From Abuja Home

This definitely may not be the best of times for ex-beauty queen and fashionista, Rosemary Okeke. The former Miss Nigeria, as you are reading this is allegedly homeless, having been ejected from her rented house in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory.
According to those in the know of Rosemary Okeke’s present predicament, she must have had more than she could chew because of the circumstances that surrounded the whole tenancy matter. It was gathered that Rosemary had rented the house, located in the Wuse area of the FCT few years back at a very huge amount, from the owner, ex-Deputy Inspector General of Police, Ojomo, only for the ex-beauty queen to sublet the boys quarters wing of the house to another tenant at an incredible amount of N500,000:00 per month.
It was this decision of subletting the house that actually irked the landlord, ex-DIG Ojomo, and pronto he issued the beauty queen with an immediate quit notice. Rosemary, upon receipt of the quit notice, went to the police to lodge a complaint on the strength that she was not given enough time in the notice to quit. But in the course of their intensive investigation, the police found, much to their dismay, that Rosemary Okeke had actually contravened some tenancy laws, terms and conditions, as spelt out in the subsisting agreement between her and her landlord, which is the subletting of the boys quarters to a third party without the due knowledge of the landlord. In the aggravated process of the landlord/tenant squabbles, Rosemary was detained while an ejection order was obtained by her powerful landlord, ex-DIG, Ojomo who moved quickly to enforce the order. As at the time of filing in this report, the house has been under lock and key, while the erstwhile tenant, Rosemary Okeke is nowhere to be found.
For now, Rosemary Okeke remains homeless and may just be perching with a friend or relations, and probably making plans through her lawyers to challenge the ejection in the court of law or to accept her fate and move on in life through securing another befitting accommodation. Rosemary Okeke was crowned Miss Nigeria well over two decades ago and this was the period when beauty pageantry was a spectacle and those who won the coveted crown instantly became celebrities.
