Abia State Governor, Chief Theodore Orji, has dissolved the body of Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants.
The governor who announced the dissolution on Tuesday during a banquet at the Government House, Umuahia, thanked the former aides for their diligence and support to his government.
The governor who said that he meant well by his decision to dissolve the body of Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants and Special Assistants, implored them to see the development as normal in politics.
” We want to reengineer by appointing new people, and those who have done well will be brought back. I don’t want any of you to be like the typical politician who are not disciplined, and don’t start to romance with the opposition. This is a normal thing that happens in politics just to allow other people to come in. No condition is permanent.
“I want to thank you sincerely for your diligence and support to the government. Government means well for all of us. Any success achieved by this government is attributable to you. You have been dependable pillars to our government, please don’t fight this government.”
Former chairman of the body of advisers, Chief Isaac Ogbonna, thanked the governor for giving them the opportunity to serve the state in different capacities. He described Governor Orji as “a good man.”
