There has has been an Associated Airline plane crash. The 30-seater plane had about 20 passengers aboard and left Lagos airport for Akure this morning.
The plane crashed into tanks of aviation fuel around Salami Street, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos.
Rumour has it that the airline was conveying the remains of the late former governor of Ondo State, AGAGU to Akure.
The names of the passengers on board are yet unknown...
This is so sad!

Segun Demuren, A son to the immediate former Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority Harold Demuren, has tweeted his own account of the crash; confirming that indeed, the body of the late former governor of Ondo State, Olusegun Agagu, was on the plane which went down.

some conflicting reports about who/what was onboard. Fact is, Plane crashed right after take off in Lagos… Lets wait for actual manifest..

Also according to Kemi Omololu Olunloyo (daughter of one time governor of Oyo State), Gbenga Obasanjo, the first son of former President of Nigeria (Olusegun Obasanjo) also might have been in the plane which went down this morning.
Channels tv reports that NEMA has confirmed 9 passengers dead, with 6 survivors from the crash... Other persons onboard are still unaccounted for as at press time.
