Shocking: Kpomo Sellers Arrested For Using Embalming Fluid to Increase Kpomo Size in Delta

Wonders indeed, shall never end! This is very sad but true. 

There's been a row between Health officers and kpomo sellers in Sapele, since this week. 

No less than 10 patients are sick and lying in a critical condition at the Sapele General Hospital for poisoning from the popular animal hide popularly known as kpomo. 

The allegation was that some of the meat sellers had injected a chemical, usually used in embalming corpses, into the kpomo they were selling to make the said kpomo increase in size and attract customers.

The health workers confiscated over N200,000 worth of kpomo, arrested some of the meat sellers and handed them to the police for prosecution.

A senior health official, who craved anonymity, confirmed that the confiscated kpomo had been buried, while some were left for laboratory test. He also said that the poisoned kpomo were not from cows but from a yet to be ascertained animal.

It's very unfortunate to note that this wicked people do not care about the health and lives of innocent buyers. God help us!
