A Message The World Needs To Hear · Friday, June 14th ·
Pastor Chris
Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind (Psalms 67:2 TLB).
These were the cogitations of David, the man
of God. All he had was the promissory note of salvation, which hadn’t
come, yet, he was so inspired by it. He was so excited and wished he
could go around the world to herald this great news of Christ’s
salvation. As new creations, we’re in the world at a time when what
David admired and looked forward to, has become real. We’re partakers of
that salvation that David sought to spread around the world; we know
exactly what it is now, and we’re enjoying it. How then could we be
quiet?
In John 14:16-17, the Lord Jesus told His disciples, "And I
will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he
may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world
cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye
know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." Today, this
has happened for us: the Holy Spirit lives in us and has made us
competent ministers of the Gospel; we’re dispensers of eternal verities.
It’s our responsibility today, to tell the whole world about Jesus, and
what He came to do. The ministry of reconciliation has been committed
to our trust: "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world
unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath
committed unto us the word of reconciliation" (2 Corinthians 5:19).
This
was God’s plan for us all along. The Bible tells us how man lost the
presence of God back in the Garden of Eden, but God reconciled man back
to Himself in Christ Jesus. Now, He’s given us the ministry of
proclaiming this great news to mankind; it’s a message the whole world
needs to hear.
Confession
Necessity is
laid on me to spread the Gospel of the divine life, and as I boldly
declare it today, the power of God is released, and men’s hearts are
touched, and their souls enraptured to acknowledge and affirm the
Lordship of Jesus Christ, while embracing the grace of His salvation, in
Jesus’ Name. Amen.
