You’re His Microcosm…In Your "Micro Cosmos" · Monday, May 20th ·
Pastor Chris
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the Day of Judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world (1 John 4:17).
Hebrews 1:3 tells us that Jesus Christ is
the express image of the Father. Meaning that, He’s the perfect imprint,
or icon of the Father. When He walked the earth, He was the revelation
of the Father’s will, and the expression of His righteousness and
goodness. He gave expression to the nature and character of the Father,
and this is our calling today; we’re to give expression to His will and
nature.
Ephesians 4:24 says, "And that ye put on the new man, (that’s your new nature) which after God (that means in the likeness of God) is created in righteousness and true holiness." The Amplified Version reads "…And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness." God wants you to walk in the light of your true nature. This, He says, is true righteousness and holiness: it’s the expression of the will and nature of the Father everywhere, in every matter, and event! You’re to give and bear testimonies by your actions and words to His personality of goodness and equity! That just means you’ve become the microcosm of God in your micro cosmos; you express Him everywhere—in your "aion"—in your immediate sphere of contact. When you understand this as a purpose for your existence, your life will become an unending stream of boundless joy.
You’re called and sent by God to manifest and administer His will, purpose, and character to your world, through the gift of righteousness. You’ve become, not only the recipient but also, the dispenser of His goodness: "But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own [a] purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light" (1Peter 2:9 AMP).
Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for making me the recipient, as well as the dispenser of your life, blessings, and goodness. By your grace, and through the power of righteousness, I set forth your wonderful deeds and display your virtues and perfections to my world today, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
