The Federal Government, yesterday, lifted the suspension imposed on
Dana Airlines last Saturday, after a meeting among officials of the
airline, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, and Aviation Ministry
in Abuja.
Consequently, the airline will resume flight operations today, according to the airline management last night.
Government, however, insisted on grounding the airline’s airplane that had a snag last weekend that necessitated the suspension.
Special Assistant to the Minister of Aviation, Mr. Joe Obi, confirmed last night that after series of deliberation on critical
safety issues involved in the airline’s operations, government lifted
the suspension imposed on the airline
Obi said: “Officials of the Federal Ministry of Aviation and the
Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA, met with the management team
from Dana Airlines today (yesterday) in Abuja and deliberated on some
safety issues in connection with the operations of the airline.
