Comedy and 'The Chronicles of Ushbebe'

I for one, I'm a big fan of comedy. Hence, this write-up on one very prominent fast-rising comedy act, Ushbebe.

Well Ush is Ush. Ush is Ushbebe and Ushbebe is Justice Emonaerere Nuagbe. Ushbebe is an Urhobo from Aladja in Delta State. 

Ushbebe whose real names are Justice Nuagbe, is a fast rising music and comedy act who has been in the business of entertaining since his University days, back in Delsu, Abraka.

A graduate of Theatre Arts, he has imbibed the 'Arts' into his daily existence.

According to him, he practically "inherited" comedy from his dad who is a retired Army officer.

Hear him "I have a very funny father. As a child, my dad was in the Army and you know soldiers have a very good sense of humour. I have always been a happy person so I'll say comedy for me, started from when I was not even aware of its meaning, until I got into the University".

Ushbebe professionally went into comedy in 2006, just after the conclusion of his NYSC scheme. Although he performed in lots of shows during his service year, it wasn't at a professional level. Just for fun and ...

He revealed in an interview that he wasn't always called "Ushbebe". He was formerly known as Usher back in his secondary school and university days, and just recently assumed the stage name "Ushbebe" when he went professional.

Also according to this great artiste, his 1st love was music.He once released a 9-track album titled 'Case 2 Fame' which received great airplay within and outside Lagos.

From Stand-up comedy, music, to being an OAP, Ushbebe has seen it all. The rebranded artiste recently floated his own TV show The Chronicles of Ushbebe.

Ushbebe who is still the presenter of 'Morning Runs' a program on Naija 102.7 is portrayed in his TV show 'The Chronicles of Ushbebe' in different 'characters' alongside other celebrity acts, showing him in another limelight.

What endears Ushbebe most to his friends/fans is his playful nature. He was a very 'unserious' person back then in school in the sense that he joked so much, you would never know when he was serious about the subject being discussed. His jokes are spontaneous, natural and not the regular composed and rehearsed jokes we hear which makes it REAL. 

The show already airs in the UK on HiTV, Ben TV and on Sky Network. It also shows on Real Star TV on Star times. He will also be starting a live show in a couple of months...Watch Out!
