See What Kanye West Did Last Night; Brought a Make-Believe 'Jesus' on Stage

Kanye West kicked off his highly anticipated Yeezus tour at Seattle’s Key Arena on Saturday night with a two-hour-plus show that was as emotionally unsettling as it was awe-inspiring. Kendrick Lamar, the tour’s support act, got things started with a frantic 45-minute set.

The crux of the show was the guest appearance by none other than Jesus Christ himself, for whom West finally removed his mask to proclaim that he had been looking for him. Jesus naturally responded that he had been there all along. Later, the mock Christ would ascend to the top of the mountain as West bowed in supplication before him while the haunting refrain from "On Sight" – "You give us what we need/it may not be what we want" – played repeatedly in the background.

Jay Z Announces New Album Titled "Magna Carta Holy Grail"

 

Jay-Z has already sold a million copies of his next album... to Samsung.

"Magna Carta Holy Grail" is the new album from rap icon Jay-Z that will be made available for free to the first one million Samsung Galaxy S3, Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 2 owners that download a special app.

The app, which can be downloaded starting on June 24 is said to provide an "unprecedented inside look into the album personal stories and inspiration," and will also unlock the new album on July 4, three days before it officially goes on sale for the non-Galaxy owning world.

The partnership between Samsung and Jay-Z, both known for their rather bold approaches to marketing, was kicked off with a three minute television ad that aired during the NBA Finals on Sunday night.

The Wall Street Journal reports that Samsung paid $5 a piece for the million copies of the album it plans to give away, perhaps making "Magna Carta Holy Grail" the first album to go platinum weeks before being released.

Clearly the huge Korean company sees it as a price worth paying to gain a little extra credibility in the U.S. in its ongoing battle with Apple for mobile market share. And, oh yes, there was another notable competition that followed Samsung's escalation of the smartphone wars: The San Antonio Spurs beat the Miami Heat 114 - 104.

Tiwa Savage Speaks ... “Why I Decided To Marry My Manager.”

 

Nigerian songstress, Tiwa Savage  who is set to drop her album titled “Once Upon A Time” June 14th, is having the best of times, this year 2013. 

She had a mind-blowing album listening party recently at Wheat beaker Hotels, Ikoyi Lagos,  which got everyone talking for days on end! Beautifully dressed in a multi-coloured short gown, she thrilled the audience through each track in her soon-to-be-released album and was commended for putting another face to the Nigerian music industry. 

While introducing a song which she dedicated to her fiance & manager Tunji Balogun (Tee Billz), she said

Its not easy for we ladies in the showbiz industry to find a man we can call our own. We all need a man that will understand, love and appreciate us and having found this man; I appreciate and love him most. When we are outside, I am a superstar and it’s all about work but when we are at home, he is my superstar.”

In an interview with City People magazine, Tiwa spoke on why she dedicated a song to her fiance Tee Billz,why decided to him, how they fell in love, and lots more.

Why did you decide to dedicate a song to Tee Billz?

A lot of successful women, especially in Nigeria find it hard to find a man that will understand that you might not be there every night to cook, clean and look after the kids. In this kind of world you can’t just focus on music, so when i found somebody that was understanding, I had to dedicate the song to him because he sacrificed a lot for me. People don’t realize that he works a lot harder for me than anybody else.

What is the story behind it all?

When I didn’t have any money, he was the one investing in me, now it is easy to invest in Tiwa Savage because the brand is successful. He took a big risk investing time and money and people don’t realize that. You know he paid for my videos, paid for me to fly out here and there, paid for my dresses, my photo shoot and that is what made me who I am today.

Is that how you fell in love with him?

Initially we didn’t plan it, we were just working together and I really used to tease him about one girl or the other and I keep asking him “when are you getting married?”At some point, we got talking and we went deep and it was just what happened.

There is a difference between relationship and marriage, 
"Why did you decide to marry him?"

He is someone who believed in me, when nobody believed in me. He is someone who prays for me even when I can’t remember to pray for myself. He takes the fault, he is someone who protects me. We prayed about it, and had the consent and peace of the pastor and family and I feel when you have the peace about something in your heart and God has showed you what way to go, there is no denying it. You just have to go that way.
