Two persons said to be Wema Bank workers yesterday lost their lives in an auto crash near the City Gate along the airport road in Abuja.
An eye witness said  that a Toyota Corolla car, with Lagos registration number LSR 570 AM, lost control and veered off the highway and crashed into a culvert.
According to him, the car had two women, a driver and another man on board the official car when the fatal crash happened. The dead were women.

While anticipating Wizkid's Moe Musa-directed “Azonto” video slated to drop later today, the starboy dropped a new joint, “That’s Me” featuring Ghana’s Paedae (of R2Bees).

Wizkid actually raps on this new joint, busting the same lyrics he ‘freestyled’ on Tim Westwood's radio show, last year. With Paedae‘s input and very nice production, “That’s Me” is a Banger!
Enjoy!

Word for Today: Rhapsody of Realities

Products Of His Great Love · Wednesday, February 27th

Pastor Anita

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him (1 John 4:9).
Pastor Anita
Think about it: God so loved you that He sent Jesus, His precious Son, to die in your place. His love pulled you out of darkness into His marvellous light where you reign and rule in life as a king. Now, nothing can separate you from that love (Romans 8:35-39), not even sin: "For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God through the death of His Son, it is much more [certain], now that we are reconciled, that we shall be saved (daily delivered from sin’s dominion) through His [resurrection] life" (Romans 5:10 AMP).
God loves you more than you can ever imagine! He never looks out for your faults. Rather, He follows you with His tender mercies and spreads His wings of compassion over you always. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." It’s important that you’re confident in His love for you, for that awareness and consciousness will help you reign in life over sin, sickness, poverty, failure, and death. It will give you the boldness to confront life’s challenges with a sense of dominion.
Having this kind of confidence in God’s love comes by acquaintance with Him. As you fellowship with the Lord through the Word and the Holy Spirit the revelation of His love will be unveiled to your spirit and you’ll be joyful at all times in His presence.
You’re the product of God’s everlasting love. The reason He saved you, gave you eternal life, filled you with His Spirit and beautified your life with His glory and grace is because He loves you. This should awaken in you a new confidence to live life to your full potentials. Nothing can stop you, for God’s love has made you a victor, a champion and a wonder.
Prayer
Dear Father, I rejoice for the great love wherewith you’ve loved me, and I’m grateful for your grace and tender mercies that encompass me each day. I recognize my true value today in the light of your love, and I’m conscious of the power of your great love; I take advantage of it today, in the Name of Jesus. Amen.

Photos: 10 Upcoming Hotties to Look Out for in Nollywood

Nollywood has had its share of drop dead gorgeous women with extraordinary curves to nail a man to the wall. From the likes of Liz Benson, Regina Askia, Clarion Chukwura, to name a few to the power houses running the show now, Nollywood is surely at the top of the roof on the continent.
Of course, the power houses running the show now go in the likes of Omotola, Genevieve, Mercy Johnson, Chika Ika, Stella Damasus, Ini Edo and a few others. But Nollywood is producing them so fast these days even the so-called power houses are disappearing in the horizon.

There's a new wave of very sexy women in Nollywood and they are not just lurking around any more, they are taking over. Faces of the Omotolas, Genevieves, and their likes just don't cut it any more, a new and sexy storm is rising in Nollywood and fast!
These fresh faces are not only young but also very hot, pretty, sexy and talented. They are winning top roles and driving them home with a little more than off-the-counter talents, beauty and curves, they are simply adorable and desirable. Here are the top ten:

Damilola Adegbite
Damilola Adegbite hasn’t been around for too long. She doesn’t need to be before she seizes the limelight. She has what it takes to be at the very top; beauty, talent and knock-me-silly curves.
She’s recently the toast of the cinemas where her "Flower Girl" is making waves. Damilola is the "Flower Girl", a perfect role which must have come her way because she looks the part and tailor-made for the role. Michelle Bello, the producer, must have known Damilola is a ‘Flower’ that blossoms at every turn.
She made her mark in the high octane soap "Tinsel" playing the role of Thelma Duke but she has since left the soap train to try her hand in the movie world.
Damilola Adegbite

Lilian Esoro
The television soap girl is currently wallowing in the euphoria of international attention after catching the eye of the world with her role as ‘Nurse Abigail’ in the popular television soap "Clinic Matters". Lilian is one of the nominees to battle the likes of Mercy Johnson and Funke Akindele for the Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Awards (AMVCA) Best Actress in a Comedy category. She has plied her trade in "Estatea", "Ayetu" and currently brandishing her talent and beauty in "Clinic Matters" and "Tinsel".
Lilian Esoro
 Beverly Naya
Beautiful, alluring and sexy Beverly returned from the United Kingdom some years back to carve a niche for herself in Nollywood and what she has had so far is a little more than she bargained for. Just last year she stood shoulder to shoulder with the very best in the industry to compete for the FAB Magazine’s Most Stylish Actress, which was eventually won by Rita Dominic after beating the likes of Genevieve Nnaji, Omotola Jalade and Nse Ikpe Etim.

Also in 2010 she won'Most Promising Talent' at the Best of Nollywood Awards, and in 2011 she was City People’s 'Fast Rising Actress'. She has featured in "Up Creek Without A Paddle", "Stripped", "Weekend Getaway" and many others.
Beverly Naya
 Biola Ige
Biola Ige is not exactly new in the industry but a condition that messed up her beauty took her off the scene for a while and now she’s back, looking as beautiful and sexy as ever. She has one of the sexiest eyes in the industry with a figure to die for.
She’s probably the only Hindu in the industry but this doesn’t bother Biola, her talent and her beauty remains the hook that drags home the big juicy roles for her. In four years she reportedly featured in over 20 films.

Biola Ige
 Collete Orji
Collete came into the industry a few years ago but already she has a profile that would bedazzle any producer. Beautiful, talented and sexy but most people who have met Collete keep talking about her magnetic backside which tends to sing a song many could not help but follow.
She has several claims to stardom and they include "Strength of a Woman", "Blue Blood", "Raindrop", "Two Can Play That Game", "Amaka Mustapha" and a host of others.
Collete Orji
 Chelsea Eze
With a look of a ‘damsel in distress’ Chelsea, unlike the ‘Spirit’ that bears her name, has such harmless beauty which it effects can only be felt in its intoxication. She shot into prominence in 2009 winning a nomination at AMAA (Africa Movie Academy Awards) and confirmed her presence on the scene the following year with AMAA’s 'Most Promising Actress', ZAFAA’s 'Best Upcoming Actress' and BON’s ‘Revelation of the Year’.
Her most popular flicks include "Two Brides and a Baby", "Twist", "Timeless Passions", "Hood Rush" and others.
Chelsea Eze
 Tope Osoba
Now Tope Osoba is a genuine article, just what the doctor ordered when it comes to suaveness and sophistication wrapped up in beauty and brawn. She has also got a lot on her chest to want you to want to see her films even if they are as dry as the fig leaf during harmattan. She plies her trade in the Yoruba sector of the industry and the beau is sure coming into her element.
She was the ‘stripper’ that got the Senator in a twist of passion and obsession in late Bisi Komolafe’s "Igboro Ti Daru" and who could have blamed the hapless law-man under siege of Tope’s luscious cleavage. She has also starred in "Gucci Girls", "Omo Tee", "Oogun Mi", "21 Million" among others.
Tope Osoba
Chika Agatha
Chika isn’t exactly Cossy Orjiakor, but this busty and beautiful Anambra State-born upcoming star is carved along the line of the likes of Mercy Johnson and maybe a little bit more easy on the eyes
She waltzed her way into limelight with awesome acts in "Dream Walker", "Transformer", "Akpati", among others
Chika Agatha
Chita Agwu
Chita Agwu has everything going for her: beauty and talent. She has acted in over twenty movies and still counting. Her well-sculpted figure also makes her earn a living as a model.
With an aura of self-confidence and child-like beauty Chita doesn’t have to flaunt her beauty to get noticed, if her killing smile doesn’t do the job her pretty face comes hitting like a tornado

Chita Agwu

Angel Ufuoma
Angel Ufuoma,"a Cambridge trained lawyer, ruffling feathers in the movie industry and causing just the right stir for her talent and quiet beauty. She hasn’t been more than three years on the scene but she is rising so fast she is in contention for every hot role in the industry.
She has featured in many blockbusters and recently wowed the core of Nollyword for her sterling role interpretation in "Dr. Bello".

45-yr-old Suspected Rapist Remanded in Prison

The increase of rape cases in the country is alarming. Last week it was a 50+ old man defiling a mentally handicapped teenager, on Monday, a 34 year old man defiling a 3-year old, and now, this.

An Abeokuta Magistrate Court sitting in Isabo, yesterday ordered that a 45-year-old rape suspect, Taofeek Kolawole be remanded in prison custody till Friday, March 1, 2013.
The suspect, who is a security guard with a Chinese company was arrested last Thursday for allegedly raping a 12-year-old girl at Kemta Housing Estate, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, OgunState capital.
During his arraignment, Counsel to the accused person, Tajudeen Idris, prayed the court to grant his client bail on the ground that the alleged offence was bailable, but, his plea was however, rejected by Magistrate Idowu Olayinka.
The Police Prosecutor, Inspector Augustine Osimirin however, told the court that Kolawole unlawfully had carnal Knowledge of the 12-year old girl and thereby committed an offence  punishable under Section 218 of the Criminal Code vol 1 Laws of Ogun State of Nigeria 2006.
In his ruling, Magistrate Olayinka told the defence counsel to file an application for bail and serve both the Director for Public Prosecution, DPP, and the police and ordered that, the accused be remanded in prison, till the next hearing date on Friday.
The worst part of these happenings is that most of the victims involved are MINORS.
I still can not understand how/why a full grown man could become sexually attracted to a 3-year old!
May God help us all.

Flight Scare: Bad Weather Aborts Arik flight

Arik Air flight from Lagos to Benin city, Edo State, was yesterday, aborted as bad weather in the ancient city prevented the plane from landing. The pilot  returned to Lagos and waited until the weather improved before returning to Benin. According to the airline’s Public Relations and Communications Manager, Mr. Adebanji Ola, the pilot had to return to Lagos when he discovered that visibility in Benin was poor. But the passengers had since been flown back to Benin when visibility improved. There is no problem with the plane as the same plane has done several flights afterwards. He said: "There is no story in that. If the weather is bad and the plane left, came back and landed safely, what is there, it is normal, there is no story in that. Air return is normal. In fact that same plane has done several flights afterward so there is no story in Air Return."
OK!

Missing 30-year old Petroleum Engineer Found Dead

According to a relative of the late engineer who identified herself as Ekineyo, the body of Mr. Akanbi Oluwatoyin was found in Ifo, Ogun State.
The 30-year-old was a father of one, who lived at New Oko-Oba in Agege and was last seen on Monday morning, when he left for work in his sliver-coloured 2008 Highlander with registration number, Lagos SMK 975 AS at about 5:30am.

Students Shot Dead in Nassarawa State University' Protest

Following the clash of Students and Soldiers in the Nasarawa State University, Keffi,  on Monday, over protests of not having water for many days on campus, several students have been reported dead. The students were among the unfortunate ones shot dead by security operatives in Keffi during their demonstration in the vicinity of the institution.
The soldiers allegedly went to hostels off campus to harass students and the students retorted.
The severity of the crisis caused the institution to be shut down indefinitely by the authorities. The Police Public Relations Officer in the Nasarawa State Police Command, Mr. Michael Ada, said two students died, while seven others received gunshot injuries. A 400 Level student of Geography, simply identified as Aminu, was said to be among those killed.
About 17 other students were arrested by security agents, including the institution’s Students Union President. The students of the institution allegedly blocked the Abuja/Keffi road in protest over scarcity of water and power in the institution.
As Usual, the police denied shooting the students, saying they only cleared the highway blocked by the protesting students. Ada, a Deputy Superintendent of Police,  absolved the police of involvement in the killing of the students. He said any question relating to the incident should be directed to the Army. He said, “The policemen that went to the scene only cleared the expressway that was blocked by the students. Two students were killed and seven others were hospitalized for injuries sustained during the violent protest".
So much for security operatives.
